Ladies:

Last call for spiral perms.  You’ll need the scent out before Saturday night.  Have you gone tanning?  Did you put the heart sticker on your hip to see how tan you are?  And how about that Forenza sweater?… Are you wearing it with the “V” in the front or the back?  Can you still fit into those Guess jeans?

Guys:

Collar up or collar down?  Vans or penny loafers?  Girbauds or parachute pants?  With or without the bandana?  Have your hair gel ready and fluff that mullet.  All you’ll have left to do is decide whether Saturday’s a night for Drakkar or Polo.

Everybody:

You only have a FEW DAYS left to make these decisions before the reunion and buy your ticket at the $50 price.  Tickets are increasing to $60 at the door. Please help us stay organzied and buy your tickets BEFORE SATURDAY!

We look forward to seeing you on the 8th!

Alright Classmates!

Where has the summer gone?…  Seriously, we have less than TWO WEEKS before our reunion!

I know all of you have lives – jobs, family, kids, sports, shooting practice, yard work, cabins, campers, housework, friends, family, neighbors, etc. – and are really busy. I’m sure you’ve been so busy that you forgot all about the reunion and purchasing your tickets.  Well, HELLO! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

The reunion is Saturday, August 8th, at The Depot in Minneapolis from 7 PM-1 AM.  If you don’t buy your tickets really soon I will have to put you on CLEAN-UP duty!  j/k

We’ve been working really hard to plan this event and now we are counting on YOU to buy your tickets.  WE NEED YOU!  WE WANT TO SEE YOU! We have a great night planned for you with appetizers, free beer, free pop, a DJ and a great slideshow and all YOU have to do is show up!

If you have pictures that you’d like to share with your friends, bring ‘em along.  Heck, bring your yearbook along to show them what they really wrote about you!  I’ve looked through mine and it’s hilarious!

We’re really trying to make this reunion affordable for everyone, so we’re leaving the ticket price at $50 until the day of the reunion. If you do buy a ticket at the door, it will cost you $60.

The dress code is entirely up to you.  It’s summertime!  (Kenny Chesney – love him!)   Some people are talking about wearing a sundress, dress pants, shorts and t-shirts. Wear what you feel comfortable in!

Seriously, this is not about the appetizers, the beverages, the DJ, slideshow, the patio (that would be nice to sit and visit on). This is about reconnecting with friends old and new, getting reacquainted, catching up, hanging out and having fun with a great bunch of classmates!

Take a break from your busy lives of the same old, same old and show up and have a little YOU time! Heck, stay overnight and have some more YOU time!

See you in a couple of weeks!

June 2009

Alright boys,

Are you are all hiding out to see who is going to the reunion before you buy tickets?  Waiting to the last minute to buy tickets in case something more fun comes along?…  Really, what could be more fun in hot, sweaty August (other than running the back hill at MV during two-a-day practices)?!

All of you sports guys, I know you are not all busy working out.  You are not very well represented on the list of paid customers that I am looking at here.  Come on, we need more of you “has been” athletes to sign up!

Where is the football team?…  Williams, Blomberg – where are your boys?  Wrestlers anyone?…  All of you stud hockey players, basketball players and yeah, I guess I will throw you soccer players in because I know you guys all know how to drink beer.  What could be more fun than a 20 year reunion?  Let’s fire this thing up!

I know, I know.  I am the last guy you ever thought would be promoting a class reunion.  But, I figured if I am willing to get my torn sweats out of the closet one more time to meet you boys for a keg fest, you should too!

It is really going to be that simple.  Nothing fancy at all.  Irondale is having their reunion the weekend before us at The Depot, so if anyone wants to meet up a weekend early like we used to at the old Pioneer Press building at the State Fair, let me know.  Of course, we are too old for that kind of thing, but I got no problem enjoying some flat keg beer with you boys again.  In fact, I am starting to look forward to seeing some old faces.

Seriously though, it would be very helpful if you would buy your tickets now.  If we can get the ticket sales up and fund this event, we will have extra money for appetizers, beer, and yes, MORE beer.

By the way, for all of you collar-wearing pretty boys, we are looking for this to be a very casual deal.  No suits.  I hope no one is afraid this is going to be some formal prom (like you, Sully!)  Hell, I don’t even know where The Depot is, but I suspect it’s somewhere in Minneapolis.  (Check the Reunion page!)  The place sounds fun and has a decent patio.  Remember too, if you reserve a room at the Depot you’ll get four free water park passes for the kids.  Can’t make up this great a deal!

One last thing, we really do NOT want to raise the ticket prices at all at this point, but you have to get the tickets early so Pam and her husband are not stuck with the tab!  Get on the website and buy them now.

See you soon!

This is it!

Our reunion is coming up on AUGUST 8th. Click on the Reunion tab at the top of this page for details.

Are you on the fence about attending?  Are you thinking, “I already see everyone I want to, why do I need to go the reunion?”  Well, what about all the people who’d like to see and talk to YOU?

For one night in August you can forget about your “real life” and remember the days when life was much simpler – life before Columbine and 9/11, life before cell phones, life before jobs, kids, and responsibilities.

I challenge you to find someone who did NOT have fun at their 20-year reunion.  I’m pretty sure they’ll tell you it was worth the cost and the effort.

It’s not about the music, the food, the drinks, or the atmosphere (although all those things help!).  It’s about the people.  The more the merrier!

See you in August!
